This is a fantastic place to get a little history of the area.
The fort was intended to protect the main port of the western coast of Mexico, where the ship from China arrived delivering a lot of goods that would cross by land to Veracruz in the Gulf of Mexico and from there to Spain.
It is a nice museum if one likes this type of history. Lots of little indoor rooms with items, and stories in Spanish and English.
Nicely maintained and in the heart of Acapulco with a good view of the bay.
Sundays entrance is free.
